Happy Friday, lovelies -
We officially made it to the weekend!  I'm so excited to share today's post with you because Express has just launched a new line called Express Edition!  The collection is full of romantic ruffles, closet staples, and feminine lace, which as you know, are all right up my alley.  I've always loved the look of a white blazer + denim because it's so easy to throw on, yet super chic and versatile.  I added a ruffle cami underneath for a super feminine look and threw on a handbag and shoes to match.  There are so many pieces in this collection that are perfect for Fall: this black vest with white ruffles underneath, this flowy blouse that would pair so easily with any jacket or sweater, and this lace romper that's so cute!  Be sure to check out the entire collection HERE and it's also in stores, as of July 7th!
I hope you all had a great week so far!  John and I are headed out of the country tomorrow to Haiti on a mission trip with some of our closest friends + family.  This will be my 4th time going and J's 5th time going and although it's one of the hardest things we do throughout the year, it's such an amazing trip for us.  For the past 6 years, John and I have supported an orphanage there called Alex's House, along with the church I grew up in.  Currently, there are about 33 children who live at the orphanage, with ages ranging from 1 year old to 16 years old.  They are all so, so  precious.  We stay in a 'guest house' across the street from the orphanage that has a few bunk beds, no air conditioning or power, outdoor showers, and zero wifi.  So needless to say, it's not our typical trip by any means.  However, it's so nice to focus on things that are more important for a few days and live without technology.  The only things you're worried about over there are 1- how to cool off because it's around 100-105 degrees every single day and 2- you realize the day is ending when the sun starts to set because no one is concerned with time.  Such a huge difference from the states, right?
Anyway, I've worked really hard the last couple of weeks to still have some content for you guys for next week while I'm away.  I will have a few posts scheduled to publish, just like normal, throughout the week, along with a few scheduled instagram posts.  If we're lucky, there's a place down the street from the guest house that often has wifi, so if I can go there and occasionally connect, I'll try to update you guys on our trip via instagram or snapchat.  Other than that, my social outlets will be pretty quiet for the most part!  Because our group wasn't able to go to Haiti last year, this will be the first time as a full time blogger that I'll be away from FATL with no way to access it.  Honestly, the thought of it is a little scary because it's what I do all day long, BUT it will also be a really nice, much-needed break to focus on the work we're doing there and allow me the time to love on the kids and minister to the community with J.  We are so exited for a new adventure and ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers throughout the next week as we are in Kaliko, Haiti.
Love you guys and thanks so much for always being so supportive and amazing!
Thanks so much for stopping by, xx.
