TWENTY NINE
Not only can I not believe we're already half way through 2018, but I can't believe even more so that it's my birthday next week! On Tuesday, June 5th, I'll be 29 years old. Honestly, it doesn't really sound right to say it aloud OR type it. Although I still feel 25 most days, I am so excited for everything that comes with 29 and I have every intention of living my last year in my 20's to the fullest! (Whew, that really felt weird to type, too!)
The older I get, the more my 'what I want for my birthday' list shifts. Even though I got married when I was 12 (ok, 20 - but same thing), I'm pretty sure hydrangeas and potting tables didn't make the cut back then. Since almost being in our new home for a year now, I want ALL the cozy everything for the cottage.
I've been looking for a potting table for our backyard for months now and finally found this gem for only $60!! Perfect for gardening and then cleaning off and doubling as a serving buffet when guests are over. Mom, Dad ... Bueller...?
Next on my list, I want to line our entire driveway in hydrangeas! Since we didn't live here last Spring, this was really our first real season of planting flowers + perennials and we've taken full advantage. There's nothing I love more than seeming your hard work bloom and come back to life year after year.
If you follow me on instagram, you probably saw my newest obsession - cookbooks. More specifically - french farmhouse cookbook's that we've found while traveling and fallen in love with. I just purchased this one for our new kitchen shelves - with love, from me, to me.
As far as my favorite candle goes, I always throw it into the mix as an easy go-to. It's something I'll always be excited to open and always get so much use out of.
Also, I always try to put one thing on my list that's practical for every day use. A point and shoot camera is something I've wanted to invest in for a while now, but haven't quite pulled the trigger on the right one yet. This is the one I have my eye on - has anyone tried it?!
Next up, the handbags...or the shoes? The SHOES...or the HANDBAG? Decisions, decisions. This one's for my best friends to figure out. You know who you are. HA!
And finally, the ask of all asks - here's lookin' at you, J! The older I've gotten, the more I only want to invest in timeless, classic pieces. While that applies to every area of life, it's especially true in my every day jewelry. I've wanted a pinky ring for quite some time and absolutely love this one. It's a bit steep, BUT it's one of my favorite designers, 14K gold, and has the cutest, little diamond in the middle. Plus, I feel like a pinky ring just gives your outfits a little extra badass - am I right?!
ALL of this nonsense aside, I am so grateful for another year to make memories, travel to new places, cultivate existing and new relationships, love hard, dream big, and most importantly continue to choose LIFE and live it to the fullest. You know that's my motto and it's not changing anytime soon! You guys are the best and I'm so exited to celebrate with you all next week!
