Home for the Holidays

Hi there, lovelies -

I'm so excited to be sharing a glimpse of our home with you today!  After a six month long renovation, I was so excited to decorate our home for the holidays.  Overall, we went with monotone shades of grey and white, but added in cozy details in every nook we possibly could.  I absolutely love the way it turned out and the flocked tree, wintery details and festive Christmas china made it even better!  We'll be sharing a full home tour in January, so stay tuned for more photos + details!

A few tips for entertaining + adding a little cozy to your space during the holidays: light as many candles as possible.  The flickering flames are so intimate and immediately make your guests feel at home.  A warm scent during the holidays is so cozy!

Set the table before your guests arrive.  A welcoming space is one that people typically don't shy away from.  The more inviting the tablescape, the more comfortable they will feel to sit down, have a drink and laugh the night away.

Add fresh greenery to your flat surfaces.  Whether it be a table, a mantle or over a mirror, adding greenery makes your space feel alive.  For our entry way, I mixed eucalyptus + red berries for a fresh scent when walking through the door and festive colors to compliment our table.

Kick off your heels and enjoy yourself.  Sure, it's nice to greet your guests with a completed look, but they'll follow your lead throughout the night.  Make them feel comfortable by letting your guard down and getting comfortable!

Always have a little bubbly for a toast.  If you're like me, you drink bubbly all throughout the night, but most people simply enjoy it for a toast before or after dinner.  Thanking your friends & family for coming and joining together for a 'cheers' celebration can be one of the most memorable moments of the night.
