Somehow, shopping for Linen gets sweeter and sweeter every year. I try to find the balance between a few necessities for the year ahead, while also mixing in all things fun and feminine. At 6, she’s sort of stuck (in the best possible way) somewhere between stuffed animals and things that feel a little more elevated than what we’re typically used to purchasing, but I’m holding onto the innocence with both hands! My favorite thing about Linen is how creative she is. She’s always walking around with my phone snapping pictures or drawing / coloring, so I’m really excited to lean into that this Christmas. Here are a few things I have in my cart for my girl:
Teddy Bear – okay, technically she got this exact one last year, (“Bloomie” she named him) but I swear, she has slept with this thing every night since. This was a collaboration between Bloomingdales x Burberry last holiday season, but I linked a brand new one via eBay! It’s such a classic, but you can’t go wrong with a timeless teddy.
Uggs – I usually order a pair for Linen every Christmas, as her little foot grows, but the rubber soles allow them to double as boots with cozy outfits. These are so adorable!
Nightgown – There’s just something about a little girl in a nightgown that will take you so far down. They’re so sweet and of course, Petite Plume is always our go to. This is the one she wore last Christmas Eve (and still wears all the time) and I will always picture her in it.
Eye Mask – I mean, you might as well snag the complimenting eye mask, why not?!
Brass Candle Holder – This taper holder is so cute, but doesn’t feel too immature. I love investing in pieces that will grow with them in their rooms and this one checks all of those boxes!
Desk – Linen has had a little table with two small chairs in her room since we graduated from a nursery and as bittersweet as it is, I think it’s time to transition that to a desk. Somewhere she can do her homework, color, and decorate as a space that feels like her own. The scalloped details on this one are so precious!
Scalloped Bedding – Gooselings has become our favorite bedding for Linen’s room! It is unbelievably well-made and the personalization just makes it that much sweeter. From the toddler pillow to the full bedding collection, it’s heirloom quality that she’ll love for years to come.
Christmas Tree Crossbody – Festive and adorable, need I say more?!
Duffle – A friend of mine (who has almost 3 teenage girls) said these Baublebar Duffles are all the rage right now for the girls! I love the thread detailing.
Sparkle Markers – Because you just can’t have too many when it comes to the art bin!
Polaroid Camera – Linen is going to LOVE this. I have the traditional version of it that I use at every celebration and she always wants to play with it. I like that I can be in control of the film usage and give it to her 10 polaroids at a time.
The Nutcracker Book – Such a classic and I love the tradition of adding more books to our collection each year.
I’ll continue to share as I add to our lists for all 3 kids – only a few more weeks so getting a head start feels really good!
Thanks so much for stopping by, xx.
