We have always thought of our outdoor living areas as just that - an extension of our home. We spend so much time outside and the more our family has grown, the more we've gravitated towards this space. From quiet mornings on the porch with coffee + bottles to cool, sunny evenings for family dinners, we start and end our days in this little space most of the time.
When I decided to give our front porch a little refresh for warmer weather, I knew I wanted the option of more outdoor seating. We also have a dining table on our back deck that we utilize all the time, whether it's just us or we're entertaining, so having that option on the front porch just made sense. Not to mention, I've always loved a table on a front porch - there's something so Nancy Meyers about it!
When we decided to partner with Lulu & Georgia on bringing this space to life, I knew I wanted to shy away from the typical southern front porch and lean into more of a modern, yet lived-in vibe. I used our quaint, chaise lounge and tie-top, linen curtains as parameters and filled in everything in between. The cream colored table and dark, wicker chairs complimented the light tone of the space perfectly! Both pieces are extremely sturdy, perfect for outdoor elements, as well as utilizing with company. The side tables add function, as well as compliment the dining table. Lastly, the terra-cotta pots add such warmth and when in doubt, add greenery and blooming flowers! I pulled out a couple of my favorite vintage pieces from our kitchen and they added such charm to center the space. There's nothing I love more than a lived-in outdoor area that's comfortable enough to enjoy season after season!
Thanks so much to Lulu & Georgia for partnering on this post!
