LINEN'S NEWBORN KEEPSAKE BOX

For the last couple of months, I've been setting aside a few of Linen's favorite things from those first few weeks after we brought her home.  A couple of the tiny, sweet gowns she wore on rotation, the pacifier she couldn't sleep without, her little hairbrush, gold baby bracelet, and of course, keepsakes from the hospital.  This beautiful, lace trimmed blanket is the one we brought her home in, the hat that the doctor placed on her little head after delivery, my hospital bracelet along with hers, and photographs a kind nurse took that capture the moment she arrived perfectly.  Those first few weeks are such a beautiful blur, but I tried to be so intentional about holding onto things I would want to cherish for years to come.  When I started thinking about the best way to store her keepsakes, I knew I wanted it to be something that was beautiful + functional.  I had the idea to start a small luggage collection for her and immediately knew that Steamline was the perfect way to go.  I started with their large hat box, followed by a carry-on size suitcase that's a bit larger to eventually pack a one-year box for her.  Not only do the pieces match her nursery perfectly, but they'll keep all of her sentimental things safe and secure.  I found this stunning, velvet ribbon on Etsy, tied everything up beautifully and packed all it away.Even in only 8 months, I've learned that for every first there''s a last.  It's bittersweet and exciting all at the same time.  Closing her little hat box was so emotional because it's such a reminder of how quickly time is passing, however, reminded me of my strength.  Reassured me that she's mine and I'm hers - and there's no greater bond in the world.  I'll never stop thanking the Lord for her and one day, when she's about to have a baby of her own, we'll open this box together.  I'll pass on everything from the strength to the sentiment, always remembering how she changed our world for the better.  After all, these are the best days of our life.

Here's a list of what I packed:
