CRAVING SPRING + OUTDOOR LIVING
OLIVE TREES {ours are real, HERE is a great faux option, though!} | STRING LIGHTS | OUTDOOR SOFA | JUTE RUG | FIRE PIT | BIRCHWOOD LOGS | BIRD BATH | TERRACOTTA POT | CONCRETE COFFEE TABLE | STUMP SIDE TABLE
Good morning, friends! I'm so sorry I've been a little MIA on here the last few days - between life being crazy, per usual, and having a few website issues, it's been a little hard to publish a post! Anyway, it's been raining for what feels like 287 days here in South Carolina, so I'm DYING for warmer weather + sunshine. As most of you know, we LIVE outdoors Springtime - Fall and I'm so ready to get back out there. I need to spend time outside each day for my soul - it's just something that has always been a game changer for me. With that in mind, I've been working on making our outdoor living space perfect for Spring that's (hopefully) around the corner and wanted to share some of our plans with you!You may remember, but I wanted this outdoor sofa so badly last year for my birthday! I ordered it in the ratan color, but then found out it was backordered until Fall, so I decided to hold off. This year, Serena & Lily launched it in white and I'm so glad I waited! We got it in a few weeks ago and it's the perfect size for the alcove on our deck. (We purchased the cover to protect it from the weather and although I gasped at the $300 price tag, it's already been a game changer. The cover fits the sofa like a GLOVE and if your area isn't covered like ours, it's a must!) We recently planted two olive trees on either side of the couch in terra-cotta pots and they bring the space to life in such a beautiful way. We now have 6 olives between the front and the backyard and I'm thinking we need to slow our roll, but they're our favorite! We have a long, farmhouse table on our deck that we still need new chairs for, but I haven't quite decided the look I'm going for there yet, so holding off for now.Off of our deck is our patio with our fire pit, surrounded by oyster shells. We collected all of our oyster shells from traveling or a local restaurant here in Greenville, BUT I just found out you can purchase them on AMAZON. WHAAT?! It would take a few packs to accomplish a similar look to ours, but I can tell you - the transporting + bleaching process was not fun, so it may be worth it! I also found this cute, little birdbath that I fell in love with. Most of the time, birdbaths feel a bit tacky to me, but this one is sleek + minimal. I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, but thinking it would be beautiful back by the chicken coop or near our swing. I really want either side tables or a coffee table for beside the sofa so we can easily eat + drink while lounging, but I can't decide which (or both) will look the best yet. This stump table is pretty pricy, but I found THIS one at Target for only $99, so thinking that may be the way to go! Especially since they'll be out in the weather. However, I do love the concrete! I'm torn. Lastly, a good jute rug as a doormat (or a larger version) to tie everything together and a few accessories like this terra-cotta pot that's made to look aged.Whatever your outdoor space looks like - a few neutral, staple pieces to relax on and lush-greens to bring the space to life are the perfect start to creating an outdoor oasis you'll never want to leave! Thanks so much for stopping by, X.Meg[show_shopthepost_widget id="3911455"]
