TAKING YOUR FALL DINNER OUTDOORS

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to kick off Fall by hosting a little dinner party outdoors.  We headed towards the mountains, about 30 minutes away from our home, to a nearby family farm and my friend Kelly and I started setting the table.  Often times when hosting, it's easier to just gather people around your dining room table - although there's nothing wrong with that, we live to be outside this time of year!  We wanted our tablescape to be beautiful, the food to be realistic (aka easy to transport), and the cocktails to be strong.  We decided on chili + cornbread and left the food right in what we cooked it in.  We threw our favorite linens, like these olive green gingham napkins and vintage grain sack table runner, into a straw tote along with our bowls and glasses and together they created the most beautiful tablescape!  We used these soup bowls by Hearth & Hand for Magnolia (only $35 for a set of four) and paired them with our favorite glasses for the apple cider cocktail J made us all.  Between the sun setting over the mountains, the horses that came over to visit, and the friends that surrounded us - it was the perfect night.  Officially Fall here in the South and we are so happy about it!Sources:Farm Table: AntiqueMy Outfit: Jacket-turned-DressStraw Totes: McGee + Co. c/o + Paula Rallis HomeDemi-John Vases: VintageAlpaca Throws: Serena & Lily c/o + Jenni KayneSoup Bowls: TargetGlassware: Vintage + Straight Rock GlassesCopper Pot: Mauviel c/oPan: Staub c/oSeagrass Carafe: Shoppe Amber InteriorsGlass Decanter: VintageLinens: Maison de Vacances via Paula Rallis HomeVeuve Clicquot Champagne Bucket: VintageDessert Plates: West ElmI'll be posting J RUN's chili recipe + apple cider cocktail recipes next week, so stay tuned!  I hope you're all having a beautiful week and as always, thanks so much for stopping by!  X.Meg
