FRONT PORCH LIVIN' / THE LOVELY COTTAGE

In our opinion, there's nothing better than a southern front porch.  The first time we pulled up to The Lovely Cottage, back when it was a little less lovely, J and I immediately looked at each other and said FRONT PORCH.  It was without a doubt a requirement for us!  No matter what time of year it is, you can always find us starting our day here.  In the summertime while we water the grass each morning and in the winter while we lite our little fire pits and curl up with a blanket - we consider this space a room of our home.  Our front porch is also one of our favorite places to entertain.  We'll eat breakfast on the porch, host a little mid-afternoon happy hour with friends, or even a late night night-cap.  No matter the season or time of day, it's safe to say we live on our cozy, little porch.
Each time I post a little snap of this space, the questions are always endless, so I thought it would be nice to have a place where all of of the info lives!  Of course, we trade out a few plants depending on the season, as well as pillows + throws and some decor, but for the most part, our porch has a few staples that we love.
Paint Colors:
Ceiling - Sherwin Williams, St. Cecilia
Floor: Sherwin Williams, Charleston Green
Front Door: Sherwin Williams, Charleston Green
(Both colors are from the Charleston Historical palette)
Our porch floor is original to the house and is simple concrete, painted with an epoxy paint.  It chips every now and then and we usually pressure wash + repaint once a year.  We had to replace the ceiling when we renovated, so it's fairly new, but we simply used a pressure treated (perfect for outdoors) beadboard.

If you have any other questions regarding our little cottage, be sure to head over to our THE LOVELY COTTAGE page for all info and be sure to follow along on instagram, too!
I hope you're all having a great week - thanks so much for stopping by!  X.
