MASTER BATH SNEAK PEAK // BEFORE + AFTER #THELOVELYCOTTAGE

At last!  I finally feel like we are moved in, decorated for the most part, and feeling settled enough to start sharing the cottage with you - room by room!  Our master bath is one of my favorite spaces in the entire house.  We're still working on a full reveal (and will be posting it soon, promise!), but after sharing a few sneak peeks of this space on instagram + getting a lot of questions, we thought we would share a few of the details.  Unfortunately we don't have a 'true' before because we added-on our master bedroom, bathroom, closet, and laundry room to our existing house.  However, if you follow along on @thelovelycottage, you've most likely seen bits of the process, like here + here.

As most of you know, I'm a bath girl through and through.  (I actually hate taking showers - I feel like I can never get warm and I freeze when I get out!)  So, the bathtub was something I was super excited to choose for our master bathroom.  I knew I wanted to keep this space light + airy, cozy, and totally MEG RUN.  (If you haven't caught on by now, that's what most of my friends call me, so it just kind of flows + comes out.)  I'm ALL about french farmhouse and wanted to keep the bones of the room consistent with that theme + the rest of the house, while adding in a touch of badass.  (Insert, Kate.)  Of course, without making it too feminine for J.  

To me, the decor in this space makes all the difference.  It's so fun to completely change a room, simply by adding a little life (greenery), art (kate), and texture (rug), all while keeping it minimal + practical.
