Hi there, lovelies -
I hope you're all having a great week so far and finishing all of your 'to-do' list items before the holiday weekend! A few days ago, J and I had our favorite photographer {Carrie Elizabeth Photo} come to our house for one last photoshoot before everything is packed and ready to move. Initially, I intended for one of those to be our 2016 Christmas card, but I couldn't get my life together long enough to get them ordered and addressed. :/ However, we are beyond grateful to have these photos of our sweet family to look back on one day!
As most of you know, John and I got married really young, at 21 and 20, and purchased our first home together then. We spent every single weekend renovating, decorating, working in the yard, and making our quaint, little home exactly what we wanted. These old, wooden floors and the walls surrounding us have literally been our escape from the world and place of solace for the last seven years. We made more memories than we can count, filled our house full of family and friends each week, and lived our best life inside these walls. We grew so much as individuals, and as a couple, by tackling life and all the chaos that comes with it, together. We've celebrated everything, laughed until it hurt, shed many tears over painful things in life, learned how to conquer the world together, never stopped dreaming, and became the people we are today, all in this perfect, 1400 square foot house that we made a home.
To say 'leaving this house is bittersweet' would be an understatement. The connection we both feel to this place is undeniable and I'm not quite sure anything will ever live up to where we got our start. However, we know that moving on is our next chapter in life and we're so excited about what's to come! At the end of the day, John Runion is my home and without a doubt, as long as we're together, each and every stage in life will be just as exciting as the first.
Thanks so much for stopping by! xx.
