The day has finally come!!  After a couple months of non-stop decorating on the brain, I'm so excited to finally share our bedroom reveal with you all!  Like the rest of our home, we went with a cozy, french farmhouse theme for our bedroom.  I wanted it to be romantic and cozy, while still being realistic and functional.  For starters, I built the room around the bed.  We have two tufted couches in our living room and absolutely love the comfortable, yet structured look it brings to the space.  I knew a tufted headboard was perfect for continuing that same look into our bedroom, but when I found this entirely tufted bed, I knew it was the one.  From there, I moved on to focusing on any piece that would be a staple in the room: a braided rug, woven throw, distressed white chest, leaning mirror, cozy armchair, and textured curtains.  I also love mixing finishes: the dark, iron curtain rods, hardware, and nightstand really bring a farmhouse feel into the room, but the gold mirror, beaded chandelier, and candles throughout really give the space a pretty, romantic vibe.  Lastly, I wanted the finishing touches of the room to be things that really mean something to us.  Of course, I had to add a horse print, since we have one in every room of the house, and I absolutely love the one we chose.  The equestrian accents throughout our home are always my favorite!  I also LOVE our wedding date in roman numerals above the closet.  It's pretty + romantic, while being so meaningful to us.  A few other favorites throughout the room: my Hèrmes horse blanket was definitely a 'dream list' item that I've wanted to years, the antlers above our bed that add such a minimilistic, yet rustic touch, the antique oyster basket (that stores extra pillows) is just the perfect, vintage addition for the floor, and last but not least, the horseshoe hooks on the back of our door that J saved/made from their old horses.  In my opinion, all of those pieces combined really made the space in the end.
Without a doubt, I feel like I put the most energy and effort into this room out of the entire house, simply because I wanted it to be our escape from the world.  Every other room in the house is such a 'living' area and entertaining space, but the bedroom is where you want to relax and unwind after a long day.  Needless to say, J and I (and our pups!) have the hardest time waking up and leaving this cozy nook each morning, so I'm pretty sure I did something right.  Dreamy, romantic, neutral, + cozy and we couldn't love it more!
Thanks so much for stopping by, xx.
