Fall Layering
Out of all the seasons, fall is definitely my favorite. Not only for the cool nights, coffee dates and football games, but mostly for the FASHION. Oh, the fashion. There's just nothing quite like fall layering. The warm, rich tones paired with soft layers to wrap up in make for a comfortable, yet chic look. I've rounded up a few of my favorite go-to pieces that are functional for unpredictable weather {cool in the mornings + warm in the afternoons} + staying stylish. I won't discuss them all, simply because you'd be reading this for an hour, but I'll hit on my top faves.
As I mentioned in last weeks post, distressed denim is slowly taking over my closet. I love the edgy look, especially when pairing it with basics, such as this simple grey tee. Everlane seriously has the softest tees ever! They're so perfect for layering, sleeping in, tucking into a highwaisted skirt and traveling in. On to my newest obsession - a chic hat. I literally have 7 hats on my fall wish list and I'm slowly crossing them off one by one. This Rag & Bone fedora is beyond perfect for the casual outfit I created above, but will easily transition into a more dressed up look as well. Next up, the cross body. You don't get much more functional than a cross body bag, plus they go so well with an edgy look. At first glance, I didn't love the color of this Tory bag, but after throwing it in the mix of everything else above, I love how well the darker cognac pairs with the black. Definitely a great addition to other complimentary fall colors such as burgundy, dark green + navy. Booties are a must - period. They can add such a fun flair to shorts, skinny jeans, a skirt or a dress. I love the laid back look of these black, suede booties. I'm so anxious for cooler weather and we're getting there, one day at a time!
Thanks so much for stopping by, xo.
