Traveling in Style with Everlane
In my opinion, there's nothing better than a weekend getaway or a much needed vacation. Both in which require the perfect amount of planning, not only in the obvious, but also in what to pack. That's where Everlane comes in. I'm completely obsessed with this luxurious, chic line and can't get enough of their high-quality items. I've rounded up a few of my personal traveling tips below and would love to hear some of yours as well!
1 - Wear oversized pieces. I personally love to mix a good pair of shorts with a comfortable tee (preferably one with sleeves as I tend to stay chilly on flights), but you never want them to be too tight. I purposefully plan to wear oversized tops + bottoms simply to stay comfortable while traveling.
2 - A chic backpack. I know, I know, some people think backpacks are so 6th grade. However, this particular style can double as a carry on while traveling and a carry-all while exploring a new city. I love being able to throw my laptop, camera, wallet, etc all into one bag. You never know when you're going to run into a quaint, little coffee shop and connect to wifi, so you might as well have all of your necessities in one place.
3 - A basic sandal. I never, ever travel in anything but flats. When you arrive to your destination, if you prefer to slip on heels, that's perfect, but while running through an airport, flats are a must. I love the simple, clean lines of this slingback sandal and the Italian leather is just a chic, added bonus.
4 - Accessories. When it comes to jewelry + sunglasses, stick to your classics while traveling. I always throw on my favorite pair of cat eye sunglasses + a few dainty pieces of jewelry and call it a day.
5 - A nude lip. I like to keep my traveling style simple and not overdone. I'm typically the girl who has ten different lip colors in her handbag, but after finding my new favorite YSL Lipstick, I completely gravitate towards this one all the time. The sheer, nude color of this lip balm is absolutely perfect and goes with anything. I wear this shade (lush coconut) with neutrals + colors and love the way it brings out your natural lip color while giving you a soft glow. Especially during the summer months - it accentuates a sun-kissed tan perfectly.
