Calligraphy Class: Parris Chic Boutique | Event Venue: Gadsden House

Hi there lovelies!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We had so much packed into one weekend that we had to extend it until today, so I apologize for not having a Monday post.  We indulged in the most amazing dinner on Sunday night and spent the rest of the evening on the porch with a glass of red wine.  So anyway, pulling out the laptop to work just wasn’t in the cards. 🙂 If you follow me on snapchat (meganrunionmcr), you probably saw that J and I spent the last couple of days in one of our favorite places, Charleston.  The scenery, the cool weather, our boutique hotel – everything was just completely amazing.  But anyway, more on that later this week!

These photos are from a calligraphy class I attended on Sunday at the Gadsden House in downtown Charleston and it was so much fun!  The venue was absolutely beautiful and the way they had the room set up for the class was beyond perfect.  Fresh flowers, sweet treats, gold-rimmed champagne flutes and antique farmhouse tables + chairs all made for the prettiest decor.  I wanted to wear a super feminine outfit to match the lovely theme, so I decided on this tweed top and added a few Chanel details to top it all off.  (These flats are super similar to mine!)  Overall, learning the art of calligraphy was a lot harder than I thought, but I think with a little bit of practice, I could figure it out.  I’ve always had a bit of a creative side, so I’m excited to give it a shot!
