The day is finally here!!  I’m so excited to share our very first room reveal in @thelovelycottage with you!  I spent hours designing this space prior to moving in and at least a month perfecting it once we moved.  I wanted this space to be different from the rest of the house and have a fun, beachy vibe.  I’m most inspired by the ocean and being by the water, so I wanted to focus of the room to be a beautiful print by Gray Malin, one of my favorite photographers.  Aside from that, I wanted the room to be filled with all of my favorite things – my favorite ‘baits’ candles, endless bottles of Veuve Cliquot for happy hours, stacks of my favorite fashion mag, Porter Magazine, live plants, and neutral everything with a touch of blush.  I had my favorite photographer, Carrie Elizabeth, drive up to photograph my space and of course, it was pouring rain the morning we shot.  Usually the room gets beautiful light all throughout the day, but it was SO dark and quite challenging to shoot.  But you know, such is life, right?  It just made the space look cozy!  Since working from home and blogging full-time, this is the first time I’ve had a home office and I’m so grateful to have this beautiful space to work in and be inspired by each day.  This room turned out exactly how I envisioned it and is one of my favorites to sneak away to with my girlfriends at the end of the day for a glass of Veuve Cliquot!

We’ll be sharing more room reveals and a full home tour soon, so stay tuned!  I’ve linked all of the details for you above, but feel free to let me know if you have any questions in the comment section below!  YOU guys inspire me so much and I’m so thankful for each and every one of you reading and following along with us!  xo.

Beautiful space! I love Gray Malin's work! He was at a conference I attended and he spoke about his journey on how he got to where he is now and it was just a fantastic story! I'm dying to get a piece of his work. Can't wait to see the rest of your house!
